How much does a kitchen cost?

Three of our own kitchens, as a guide: small, 9 units (10m²), £6,340; medium, 14 units with an island (16m²), £10,540; large, 19 units with an island (25m²), £15,200. What yours comes to depends on how many units you need, how much run they cover, and how much has to be made specially. A deeper unit, an awkward corner or a unit built around a particular appliance is priced when we draw your kitchen.

What’s included in the price, and what isn’t?

Included: the cabinetry. Solid birch ply cabinets, solid oak dovetailed drawers with soft close runners, hardwood frames and doors on butt hinges, painted in a Farrow & Ball colour of your choice. It arrives fully assembled, furniture rather than flat-pack. Not included: worktops, appliances, sinks and taps, and installation. Delivery is £360 (UK mainland).

How do I get a price for my kitchen?

Two ways. The kitchen builder gives you a guide price in about two minutes. No appointment, no obligation. Or send us your kitchen plans, or a sketch with measurements, and we will come back with an estimate that prices the bespoke parts too. Lead times run 5 to 12 weeks.

What style of kitchens do you offer?

Everything we make is bespoke. Shaker is our speciality, it’s what we build most of and what we know best, but if you’d rather something else, or want a piece of furniture to match, we’ll make that too.

Do you paint on site?

Accepted Answer

No. Every unit is sprayed and fully finished here before it leaves us, so all that’s usually needed on site is a touch-up. We use eco-friendly water-based paint that meets all industry standards for kitchens, and we can match any colour.

What are your kitchens made of?

Accepted Answer

Doors: a hardwood that takes paint beautifully, with a real oak veneer centre panel, built from five pieces, mortise and tenon jointed, hung on butt hinges. Drawers in our Coach House range: solid oak with dovetail joints and solid bases on soft-close runners. Cabinets: top-quality birch plywood, each joint fitted and screwed.

Are your cabinets delivered assembled?

Yes. All cabinets are delivered fully assembled as a piece of furniture for strength, accuracy, and a better overall finish.

Will I see drawings before you build?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once you place an order we produce a detailed set of drawings for your approval, and nothing goes into production until you’ve signed them off.

How customisable are your kitchens?

Everything is made to order. From layout and storage to finishes and colours, each kitchen is tailored to your space and how you use it.

Can you design for small or awkward spaces?

Yes. We regularly design kitchens for compact or challenging layouts, making the most of every inch.

Can I use my own appliances?

How long will it take?

Typically 5 to 12 weeks, depending on the project. Production itself runs 8 to 10 weeks once your drawings are signed off.

How much deposit do you need?

30% to begin production, with the balance due before delivery. If your delivery date is more than 12 weeks away you can secure the order with 5% instead.

Do you deliver, and where?

Yes. UK mainland, from our workshop in Batley, West Yorkshire. Delivery is £360.

Do you fit the kitchen?

We supply kitchens only. Most of our clients are already working with a builder, and a good local carpenter or fitter is usually the most cost-effective way to have the kitchen installed.

How do payments work?

Accepted Answer

Staged, if delivery is more than 12 weeks away: 5% to secure the order, with the rest of the 30% due 12 weeks before delivery. Straight to production, 12 weeks or less: a 30% deposit. The final balance is due before delivery. Bank transfer only.

What happens, step by step?

Estimate, design and CAD, deposit, sign-off of elevations and plans, production of 8 to 10 weeks, then delivery with the balance due before the kitchen leaves us.
